Tejas is located in the 50th & France business district in Minneapolis, yet it feels like dining in Sante Fe. Both the decor and the cuisine exemplify the American Southwest. Adobe-like walls are adorned with pottery, fetishes, and artwork. The restaurant features an open dining room with simple wood tables sans table cloths that stands in contrast to the exceptional food.

The cuisine merges southwest flavors with the freshest meats, seafood, and organic vegetables. Chef Philip Dorwart intricately orchestrates ingredients indigenous to the southwest such as blue corn masa, tart tomatillos, jicama, and epazote.

From slow braised lamb to garlic roasted chicken and potato flautas, you will experience artful cuisine that tastes as great as it looks, just be sure to save room for incredible desserts like chocolate-chocolate chip fritters with white chocolate ice cream and fiery fudge sauce.
